Injury assessment including concussion protocols.
Acute & Sick CareFalls and injuries are a normal part of childhood — from playground tumbles to sports collisions. While most are minor, some require professional evaluation to rule out fractures, concussions, or other serious injuries.
After a fall or injury, seek evaluation if your child has persistent pain or swelling, cannot bear weight or use a limb normally, has a visible deformity, experienced a head injury with vomiting, confusion, or loss of consciousness, has a deep cut that may need stitches, or if you're simply not sure about the severity.
We follow evidence-based concussion protocols including symptom assessment, cognitive testing, and graduated return-to-activity guidelines. Student athletes receive clearance documentation when safe to return to sports. We work with school athletic trainers to coordinate care.
Thorough injury assessment, wound care and suturing for minor lacerations, splinting for suspected fractures (with X-ray referral), concussion evaluation and management, return-to-play clearance for athletes, and referral to orthopedic or emergency specialists when needed.
